The Saturday crew did some tire flipping this weekend to finish their workout. I just can’t get over how nice it is to be able to open a 58 foot overhead door and workout on the runway! I know these guys enjoyed it. In other news, Caroline got two more unassisted pullups yesterday. Caroline also finished her last day of school. Be sure to congratulate her in the comments.

WOD:
Press
1-1-1-1-1
Pushpress
3-3-3-3-3
Push Jerk
5-5-5-5-5

Results: This workout was a good test of your technique in the pushpress and the pushjerk. I was really surprised in how much more weight everyone moved in going from the strict press to the push, and to the jerk. For everyone that did all three movements, the average jump in weight difference from the press to the jerk was about 25#’s. This comes as a surprise considering you end up doing 5x more reps in the jerk compared to the press.

Way to go RN Caroline! Congrats on both… they are both awesome achievements! Now we’ve got another Nurse in the house — YEAH!

I see from the picture that my one-finger tire flips are coming along nicely. Thanks to Brett, Shawna and Forrest for all the help!

Yeah, congrats Caroline! My wife’s biggest complaint as a nurse is “moving heavy patients”. Sounds like your work at MBS has got you totally ready for that scenario. Nice going!

Does this mean you’ve passed your boards too, or is that still coming up?

I love the 1-finger tire flip! Yes, you are coming along well grasshopper.

Thanks for the shout-out, Janelle!!!

And Jay, funny you mention it but I was just saying to someone the other day that I feel like as a nurse, not only do I need to practice what I preach, but the full body conditioning makes me way less likely to throw my back out “moving heavy patients.” I take boards at the end of January. Hopefully only once. :)

Great job caroline. Get to studying for that NCLEX exam. It is a tricky one!! If you don’t know the answer just point and click one. It never hurts to point and click. J/K Hopefully you only get the 76 questions I got before I found out I passed. Good luck!!
