20090507-005So, in our endless quest to find equipment to challenge the athletes at our gym, we have finally found “The Skipper.” It is recommended for 8-12 yr olds, but it rocks for all ages! “Rhythm”, should that be the 11th componant of fitness?

Workout
On the 1st 3-minute interval,
complete 3 rounds of:
3 Power Snatch
6 Pushups
9 Box Jumps 24″/20″

One the 2nd 3-minute interval,
complete (1) 40-yd sprint for time

Complete 5 rounds. Record the (5) 40-yd sprint times for lowest time possible. Advanced users, use 115lb. power snatch. Intermediate and beginners use 95lb. and 75lb., respectively.

Post 40-yd sprint times to beyondthewhiteboard

To make The Skipper “Crossfit-worthy” you’re going to have to put a 15 lb mace ball (steel ball with spikes) on the end of it! We’re not paying for a workout that doesn’t make us cry and bleed!

Pat, you look like you are having so much fun with that. Forget double unders, I can see the next Annie involving the skipper with Hanna Montana playing in the background. Hopefully I’ll already be in Georgia when that happens ;)

Look at that POSE form, up on the balls of your feet – good job Pat!
