Tactical Strength Challenge
The Tactical Strength Challenge (TSC) is a strength competition consisting of three events:
- A three-attempt powerlifting deadlift
- Pullups for max reps
- Kettlebell snatches for max reps in a 5:00 time period
This is a great test of your overall fitness. The TSC does not favor one individuals ability over another as it measures your overall fitness ability. The deadlift will measure your absolute strength and while it does favor the bigger competitor it only counts for 1/3 of your score. The Pull-up is a test of bodyweight strength and will favor the smaller athlete. The 5:00 minute snatch test will test your cardio and muscle endurance. This is an international event open to competitors of all abilities.

The importance of nutrition and sticking to a plan cannot be overstated. Nearly everyone can agree that becoming and staying healthy not only requires an complete physical fitness program, but also a solid diet. The word “diet” often conjures up negative thoughts - painful memories of starvation, deprivation, and unsucessful results. It doesn’t have to be that way! The Zone diet is highly recommended in the CrossFit community. We can show you how simple it is and how to put it in your game plan.

Fight Gone Bad
Date: November 15, 2008
Time: 10:00 am
Where: MBS CrossFit training facility
We will be doing Fight Gone Bad for our Saturday workout. We are encouraging everyone to bring a freind to suffer the workout with. This will be a good time to see your progress from our last FGB experience.
In this workout you move from each of five stations after a minute. This is a five-minute round from which a one-minute break is allowed before repeating. We’ve used this in 3 and 5 round versions. The stations are:
Wall-ball: 20 pound ball, 10 ft target. (Reps)
Sumo deadlift high-pull: 75 pounds (Reps)
Box Jump: 20″ box (Reps)
Push-press: 75 pounds (Reps)
Row: calories (Calories)
The clock does not reset or stop between exercises. On call of “rotate,” the athlete/s must move to next station immediately for good score. One point is given for each rep, except on the rower where each calorie is one point.
Contact MBS if you are interested in attending. (720) 323-6242 or info@mbscrossfit.com
