Sports Strength & Conditioning

The MBS Athlete Strength and Conditioning program

focuses on teaching core fundamental movements to develop athletes’ overall abilities to move and function in active environments. Speed, agility, and strength movements will be performed to develop full body function and reduce the potential for injury.

Strength Training: Maintaining hip flexibility and mobility is crucial in the developmental stages of young athletes. MBS follows a unique and carefully planned strength training program to maintain these attributes which create a fast and agile athlete. Body weight, medicine balls, resistance bands, pvc pipes, and barbells will be utilized for strength training.

Speed and Agility: Sagital plane (forward/backward) and multi-plane (lateral/diagonal) movements performed with balance and coordination is crucial for a young developing athlete. MBS helps each athlete develop the basic motor skills to perform these multi-directional movements with precision. Athletes will be taught proper linear running form to increase speed and function.
